Innovation Norway has more than 700 employees. It is represented in all of Norway’s counties and in more than 30 countries around the world, amongst them the UAE.

Innovation Norway office in the UAE opened in 2008 and acts as a commercial section both for the Norwegian Consulate in Dubai and for the Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The mainly cover the GCC countries with special focus on Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, but it also keeps close contact with the Norwegian Embassies in the rest of the Middle East. In the countries where Innovation Norway is not present, the Embassies are the regional connection for commercial questions.
In the GCC region Innovation Norway has the following priority sectors: Oil & Gas, Maritime, Energy & Environment. Other focus areas are cultural awareness & training and CSR.
