Processing Time:
The processing time for visa applications handled by the Embassy is up to two weeks, the applicant will be informed about the esimated period upon submitting the application. Please note that it is necessary to book an appointment to submit the visa application. Appointments can be booked by phone during our opening hours Monday to Thursday 10-13.
The processing time for visa applications starts upon submission of the complete required documents at the embassy, and NOT upon registering online.

Application Portal Norway - How to register online
• Go to https://selfservice.udi.no
• Click on register new user
• Fill in the necessary boxes; username-password-first name-email-confirm email
• In a short while an email will be sent to the address provided. Open the email,click on the site given to activate your account.
• Go to migration portal, on the left hand side enter your user name and password and click on log on.
• Choose the application you want to out: visa, family immigration,education,etc....
• Fill in the application completely. (Please note that all the boxes with a star next to them are mandatory and have to be filled out)
• When the application is filled out and you submit the online application, a confirmation is sent to your e-mail.
• The current application fee must be paid by debit /credit card before the application can be sent. Please note that you have to print the payment confirmation and bring it with the rest of the documents on the pre-booked appointment at the Embassy/ Consulate.
• Close all tabs and log out of the program
• After completion of the application, you will have to call the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi ( 02 621 1221) or the Royal Norwegian Consulate in Dubai ( 04 382 3880) , to book an appointment.
Kindly note that the reference person in Norway can apply online on behalf of the applicant.
The Embassy will receive the application electronically as soon as you have registered/submitted it online and will make all the necessary corrections in your application.
Please kindly make sure that you bring all the necessary supporting documents.Please refer to the different check-lists of the required documents (Downloads menu - up to the right)
Please make sure that you have the necessary supporting documents, original passport and payment ready on the day you have your appointment to submit the application to the Embassy/ Consulate.
All applicants must be present at the Embassy/Consulate on the day and time of their appointment with the copy of the confirmation of the online payment.
